March 25, 2026: Georgia Trip, Day 1

8:14 AM - Helix

we just left for the georgia trip, and i’m typing this in the passenger seat of the car while our mom drives. honestly, i’m really sleepy and a bit grumpy because i could barely sleep last night (too busy hyperfocusing on neocities stuff). i managed to get to bed eventually, but then had to immediately wake up and get ready to leave, not even having breakfast or anything. i guess that’s my own fault for not waking up earlier, though.

11:25 AM - Helix

still in the car, and i’ve got nothing better to do so i’m typing here again. we stopped at dunkin to get breakfast- i got a bagel and iced coffee. we’re almost at the border between florida and georgia now. i actually don’t know which part of georgia we’re going to, but i hope it isn’t too far because i just want to lie down.

also, i’ve been organizing our system into wizard101 classes. i think it would be fun to use those classes instead of typical role labels, because then it makes life feel more like a game, and it also takes away the positive/negative associations with role labels (like how protectors and persecutors would both be labelled as fire wizards because they’re all so passionate and emotional.)

1:26 PM - Helix

THERE ARE STILL FOUR HOURS LEFT OF THIS CAR RIDE???? ughhhhh i wish noah would front so it’d be easier to take a nap, but he doesn’t want to deal with the discomfort of sleeping while sitting upright.

well, being outside of florida is pretty cool, even if the car ride is super boring. the terrain of florida is really flat compared to other states. looking out the car window here, i’ve already seen a lot more hills.

4:22 PM - Dusty

about one hour and 30 minutes left. we’re definitely looking forward to getting out of this car and being able to rest!! also a lot of headmates have been randomly co-fronting, including myself, because a lot of us are impatient/excited to get there. its like we’re all peeking out at the world, admiring all the weird bumpy terrain. there’s been some pretty purple flowers around here too, called wisteria i think. not sure if i spelled that right.

6:20 PM - Dusty

holy crap, we just arrived and unpacked, and its BEAUTIFUL here!! there’s so many huge mountains, and a river outside, and the house has 2 balconies??? and the weather right now is just PERFECT, its a tiny bit chilly but the sky is so clear and aaaaaa its wonderful, im glad we decided to come along for this trip. i know a lot of us were dreading it because it doesn’t seem worth the effort, (and i was unsure about it too), but i hope the rest of the system reads this entry and remembers how satisfying this moment has been.
